WHEN: 12th December 3.30pm – 4.30pm
WHERE: MG. Road to the Mahatma Gandhi statue. (Revised Route : We will gather at the Mahatma Gandhi statue, we will then proceed towards Anil kumble circle, take a left to Cubbon Road, we take a left from Queens road and back to Mahatma Gandhi Statue.)
We will be holding a symbolic funeral procession for our Earth to give the dramatic message to the media that the way we are living will lead to the Earth’s destruction.
DETAILS: A giant painting of the globe will be erected upon a hearse and decorated in the traditional funeral custom. A 1 rupee coin will be placed on the image and we will hang garlands on the image. A band of drummers will be hired to create as much noise as possible. Volunteers from groups including GREENPEACE, IYCN, Youth for Seva, Full Circle and SICERIM will carry instruments to make noise. Shells, drums, plates etc will be used. Dress Code will be black.
